What is chronological age ?

Chronological age refers to the actual amount of time that has passed from a person’s birth to a given point in time. It is measured in units of time, typically years, months, weeks and days. Chronological age is simply a person’s age in terms of years lived and does not take into account biological factors such as health, fitness, or mental development.

For example, if someone is born on August 18, 2000, and today’s date is August 18, 2024, their chronological age would be 24 years.

how to use chronological age calculator

It’s simple to work with our FREE Chronological age calculator also called Pearson Chronological age calculator. Here is how you can calculate chronological age.

  1. Input your Date of Birth in the format – mm-dd-yyyy. Alternatively, once you click on the input box, a calendar will pop up. You can select the year and month from the drop downs. Then select the date from the calendar.
  2. By default, the Age as on Date field will display the current date so that you need not enter it if you need your actual chronological age as of today.
  3. Hit the calculate button.

The chronological age calc will display your age in

  1. Years, months, and days
  2. Months, and days
  3. Weeks, and days
  4. Days

E.g. You have selected the Date of Birth as “08-07-1997” (07th August 1997 in mm-dd-yyyy format). “As on Date” = 08-01-2024.

After clicking on the calculate button, the tool will display:

  1. 26 years, 11 months, and 25 days
